Vote from Home 08

icon_mailbox.jpgThere’s a new PAC in town called Vote from Home, founded by a group of young Atlanta Democrats (college students), who all appear to be attending school in other states or countries.

The mission of the group is to use Advance and Absentee voting procedures to help turn the electoral map blue, starting with Ohio. Check out the team bios here, and the strategy here.

They are hosting a fundraising event tomorrow night at Manuel’s Tavern. Featured guests will be Rep. Stacey Abrams and Former Governor Roy Barnes. Suggested donation is $25.

    I did a quick search and alas, Vote Naked seems to be one of the mushrooms that shriveled.

    Oh no! A PAC! EVIL EVIL EVIL. Please list their members so that candidates can make sure to avoid them or at least wash their hands after meeting them. Gross.

    Up in one of the SUNYs the students actually took over the city government after enough frustration with its antics.

    These things always spring up like mushrooms around election time, and only a few of them last. But you never know which ones will stick. If nothing else, these kids are well educated, and reasonably well connected for their age.

    We’ll see how they do.
