Weekend Fun

iconWhich band or artist would perform at your inaugural ball (if elected president)? I’d have Everclear and then announce Art Alexakis as spokesman for my new campaign (war?) against drug addiction. First person who says John Mellencamp gets booted.

Incidentally, Ben Folds Five played at my fraternity in college, I think they opened for a group called Aunt Tilly’s transmission. Ah, college.

Hmm for me it would be a veritable all star ensemble (like what they do at the Superbowl). Id have Vampire Weekend open things up, then drop a little Mikey Dread, followed up with a Pavement reunion leading in to Hank III, then possibly a bit of Femi Kuti with AC/DC ending it all with–of course–Thunderstruck.

    HEEEEEELLLLLLLLLLLLL YEAH!

    Wow, cool question.

Probably Arlo Guthrie. Still making good music, always positive and uplifting, usually thoughtful, very American.
