Conservative activist Marcus Epstein has pleaded guilty to assaulting an African American woman in Georgetown nearly two years ago. In court filings, federal prosecutors alleged that Epstein “was walking down the street making offensive remarks when he encountered the
complainant, Ms. [REDACTED], who is African-American. The defendant [Epstein] uttered, ‘Nigger,’ as he delivered a karate chop to Ms. [REDACTED]’s head.”
The irony here is that Epstein works as executive director of former Colorado congressman Tom Tancredo’s Team America PAC, where one of his coworkers is Bay
Buchanan, sister of Pat Buchanan. Tancredo has been all over the TV in recent days, calling Judge Sonia Sotomayor a “racist” and accusing her of supporting an organization, La Raza, that Tancredo insists is a “Latino KKK.”
Tancredo evidently understands racists so well that he likes to have one working on his own staff.
A fitting footnote to the story: Epstein had earlier applied to the University of Virginia law school, but UVA officials now say he will not be attending that institution. UVA’s dean of admissions and financial aid is named Jason Wu Trujillo.
