Gov-Elect Deal has appointed a guy with no criminal defense experience to become head of GPDSC. Of course, I shouldn’t be surprised since the last two appointees – Mack Crawford and Rob Teilhet – didn’t either. Hell, I guess I should be thrilled that this guy has some criminal experience, even if it was as a drug prosecutor (though drugs are the easiest type of crime to prosecute). Maybe he’ll push for more money to be spent on rehabilitation instead of prison? Yeah, probably just wishful thinking.

Ahhh. I noticed all the Westmoreland donations, but didn’t realize there was a connection. This just sounds awesome all around!

He also happens to be Lynn Westmoreland’s son in law and was recently fired by DEkalb DA elect Robert James. We’ve got a winner here. Yikes.
