Whether you give out of the goodness of your heart, to avoid eternal damnation or for tax purposes, tis the season for charitable giving! SCHR and GJP are old favorites of mine, but Afghan Women’s Mission, which works closely with RAWA, is getting some love this year. What about you? Gulf Coast? Haiti? AIDS research? Any local groups?

This holiday season, a donation has been made in your name to The Human Fund. “Money for people.”

I dropped a few k & never left the County or the State. But everyone should go beyond too. I like these folks from when they first started way back when in Knoxville. They’re always doing some powerful good for people in desperate need of health care, here & around the world. http://www.ramusa.org/

Catholic Charities. Buckhead Christian Ministries does a huge food drive as well during Advent. Fill a paper bag with food items, I do that too.
Also, this year I signed up to work with Hosea Williams Feed the Hungry but they haven’t called me back.

Use this link to evaluate the charity you are giving to, it rates them by how much go to programs, what the cost of fundraising is, and organizational capacity.
