Who knew that we’d finally be nostalgic for the ‘Man in the Gray Flannel Suit’? The buttoned down corporate IBM look? I mean is this at all practical today? Err… we’re all slightly Bigger than we were way back 40 something years ago. (Much!?)

And in our offices? We’re doing the best we can to maintain some minimum standards. We’re sticking firmly by our insistence of ‘no visible tats & underwear showing’. And some days, even that’s a struggle for some! (Yes, it’s the most ‘relaxed standard of all our national offices).

But yeah. Esquivel & all that Jazz. Lovely stuff. Always worth another listen. Best period of ‘Hard Bop’ too, 1955-65. And the type faces alone make me dizzy. So many contrasting styles. Some bright, some fright, fewer right. Again, progress on all fronts. No matter the later niggling regrets from some. And yeah. Everyone looked so swell for a time while at work & play. JMP
